IMPORTANT

Please do not hassle our inboxes our event crews for memberships. Pushy people that don't respect boundaries will be rejected.

DOES EVERYONE HAVE TO BECOME A MEMBER BEFORE BUYING A TICKET?

Klub Verboten operates on a membership basis for safeguarding purposes and to comply with licensing conditions. Before attending our event, everyone needs to be subject to a vetting process.

YOU CAN BECOME A MEMBER BY:

+ Sending an online application via klubverboten.com
+ Getting vetted in person at our social event, Tears For Beers.
(We still need your online application)

If you are not a member yet, you can still purchase a ticket and come to our doors to get vetted on the spot to receive a temporary/prospective membership. However, a prospective membership is only temporary and does not guarantee any entry until you apply through our website.

Ultimately, everyone is subject to vetting, but not everyone can become a member.

CAN I BECOME A MEMBER WITHOUT PROVIDING A LINK TO ANY SOCIAL MEDIA PROFILE?

No. We need to be able to clearly identify a person (you) for everyone's safety and wellbeing. Therefore we can't accept applications without a social media link or profiles only showing pictures of cute animals, drawings, food, etc.

BUT MY SOCIAL MEDIA IS SET TO PRIVATE

Without accessing your entire profile, we will not be able to process your application, and we will have to send you an invite to one of our social events to eventuelly meet you in person. You may set your profile to public until your application is approved.

CAN I JUST COME TO THE MAIN PARTY AND TALK TO THE CEO GET MY MEMBERSHIP?

There is no CEO and no, no, no. We provide plenty of ways to become a member, you may not agree with them but this is where we draw our boundairies and we need you to accept them.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THE APPLICATION
TO BE PROCESSED

We can get busy at times due to the high volume of applications we receive. However, every application will receive an outcome, so please be patient with us while we process them. The duration can take anything from 1 to 14 days. Chasing us on all channels will only take valuable time away and make us question whether we want such a pushy person among our vulnerable friends.

Please note that if your application is missing the necessary information, the processing time will take longer than expected as this causes significant delays in the vetting process.

Profile images must be clear, non-blurry pictures of your face. Images with sunglasses, hats, masks, group shots, full body shots or which are heavily filtered will not be accepted. We do not need to see your nudes, we just need to see your face.

I DON'T HAVE SOCIAL MEDIA. CAN I SEND MY PASSPORT OR CAN WE DO A NUDE SKYPE CHAT?

No sorry, with all the best intentions there is not enough time to arrange this. If social media is not your thing, we totally understand. Feel free come to one of our social events like Tears for Beers to introduce yourself outside of the digital world.

Please do not send us any more of the following: Passports, Underwear, CVs, Birth Certificates, Money or any other bribes. It will just speed up your rejection.

WHY DO I HAVE TO
SUBMIT A LINK TO
MY SOCIAL MEDIA?

This is our current chosen method of verification for safeguarding purposes. Other places have different ways, and some have none. Ultimately it is up to you which place you want to attend.

I HAVE BEEN INVITED
TO TEARS FOR BEERS.
WHAT SHALL I DO?

Don’t worry, an invitation to TFB is not a rejection of your application.

Apart from joining the event, being yourself & enjoying the night, there is nothing you need to do.

If we feel you could fit in with Klub Verboten, someone from our memberships team will randomly approach you.

Please note - we can not guarantee that 100% of attendees will be vetted immediately, you may be required to attend a second TFB. It's a social event for everyone and not a membership factory.

CAN I VOUCH FOR MY FRIENDS TO BECOME MEMBERS?

Unfortunately not at the moment. Just bring them along to one of our socials like Tears for Beers.

WHAT IS THE CRITERIA?

There are none and even if there was one we would not tell - otherwise everyone would send us the same Gulasch.

CAN I APPLY MORE THAN ONCE?

No, please do not send us more than one application. If you feel misjudged you can always come to Tears For Beers and hang out.

WHY DID I NOT GET APPROVED?

Klub Verboten became a members club to safeguard its community. Not every application will be immediately successful. Some may be required to attend one of our socials to meet our members in real life.

CAN I HAVE FEEDBACK ON THE STATUS OF MY APPLICATION?

Everyone will be notified of the outcome of their application earlier or later. Time can vary and one does not necessarily get approved before a particular event. During and after this process, we do not have the capacities to give individual feedback.

GUESTS, PARTNERS, PLUS 1s, COUPLES

As far as our membership system goes, everyone is treated as an individual. We do not have couples or partnerships; there are no plus 1s, and you can tag a randomer along that does not have a ticket.

HOW NOT TO BECOME A MEMBER

The quickest way to get rejected is by disregarding our two standard application methods and trying to ambush your way in by either:

+ Harassing our staff + crew for memberships
+ Offering us money or other bribes
+ Sending us lengthy emails explaining why you do not want to
/ can't use the methods offered
+ Chasing our staff at the main event about memberships
+ Ambushing our team at their local supermarket
+ Telling us about your friend Josef Fritzl that has an apparent problem with their membership application
